CONSTRUCTION PATHWAY

The Oakmont Construction pathway combines classroom learning with hands-on, functional experience. Classes include: Basic Safety, Intro. to Construction Math, Intro. to Hand Tools, Intro. to Power Tools, Construction Drawings, Basic Rigging, Basic Communication Skills, Basic Employability Skills, Materials Handling, and the OSHA 10 certification.

In addition to classroom learning, construction students also have the opportunity to participate in residential construction projects and related service learning activities. This two-pronged approach prepares our graduates to enter the workforce ready to build on the skills and certifications they’ve learned at Oakmont.
